With the 11th of January Bluetechnix introduces its new product names. The idea is to put more Core Module specific technical information into the product name. New Core Module names will have the
- Product Family,
- CPU-Type,
- Connection-Type,
- Operating Temperature Range,
- Crystal Frequency [MHz],
- RAM [MB],
- Flash [MB],
- External Controllers and optional,
- Special,
covered in their name. That expands of course the name but allows the customer/employee to get the most important Core Module specific information at the first sight.
Example: CM-BF537-C-C-Q25S32F4 was formerly known as CM-BF537E.

Description |
| Product Family |
Indicates the product family. Use
- CM for Core Modules
- SBC for Single Board Computer
|
| CPU-Type |
Equals the name of CPU. |
| Connection-Type |
Gives information on the connection type.
Notation:
- A for BGA
- B for Border pad
- C for Connector
- S for Special
|
| Operating Temperature Range |
Gives information on the temperature rage of the product.
Notation:
- A for Automotive
- C for Commercial
- I for Industrial
|
| Crystal Frequency |
Gives Information on the crystal that clocks the CPU.
Notation: QXX[MHz]
E.g. Q25 » 25MHz

| RAM |
Gives Information on the on board RAM.
Notation: SXX[MB]
E.g. S32 » 32MB RAM
|
| Flash |
Gives Information on the on board flash.
Notation:
- F for NOR Flash [MB]
- N for NAND Flash [MB]
E.g. F32N128 » 32MB NOR and 128MB NAND flash

| External Controllers |
This field can be filled iff the Core Module has mounted an extra interface controller which is implementing a peripheral PC-interface.
Notation:

| Special |
This field is used to indicate custom Core Modules or specials with this product. This special is limited to 4 chars!
E.g. uC for uclinux

| Former Names |
|
Former product names are kept at the end of the new product name in round brackets in order to provide a kind of recognition value.
NOTE: New products, which means
- Major revision of a Core Module or
- Newly introduced products,
will have no former name in brackets covered at the end of their product name.

| Nicknames |
|
Nicknames are used to deal with a products at conversations and make bundle names or short descriptions more readable.
A nickname consist only of
- Product Family,
- CPU-Type,
- External Controllers and optional,
- Special
